March 2010- One of our WEN members, Castlen Moore Kennedy, is doing her masters thesis at the University of Texas on the viability of natural gas as a transportation fuel. As part of her year long research efforts, she will be testing out a natural gas vehicle (NGV) in a road trip from Austin to Boston starting May 19th. She anticipates the fuel will be cheaper and the ride will be greener with fewer emissions, but the lack of refueling stations along the way should make it quite interesting.
WEN members can follow her adventures and learn more about what could be a promising alternative to gasoline by visiting www.greenamericanroadtrip.com.
In addition, Castlen was featured in Oil and Gas Investor and mentioned WEN’s mentoring program.
