Women's Energy Network

An international association for women professionals that provides networking opportunities for women in the energy industry and fosters career and leadership development.

WEN currently has chapters in the Appalachian Region, Houston, North Texas, Washington DC and Southeast Louisiana to satisfy your networking needs.

Women's Energy Network is over 1000 women strong. Founded in 1994, the Women's Energy Network of Houston (WEN) is a 501 (c) (6) non-profit group that brings together professional women of achievement in the energy industry and fosters their advancement by creating a network of energy contacts.

Women's Energy network celebrated it's fifteen year anniversary in 2009.  The organization has grown from a group with numbers below 100 to over 1000 members. For almost fifteen years Houston was the only chapter of Women's Energy Network. Since 2009, chapters have been started in North Texas, South East Louisiana and the Appalachian region.  And, we're pleased to announce that Washington, D.C. has recently joined the list!

WEN members practice in various areas including management, development, technology, law, operations, accounting, finance, and marketing. Members range from young experienced professionals to executives.

WEN's Biennial Charity Luncheon is scheduled for April 25th at the Omni Riverway Hotel.  The selected charity for 2012 is Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse.   WEN and AVDA have the combined goal of empowering women to successful futures, and we are hopeful this lunch will further those goals.  If you are interested in more information, please click here.

Membership has it priviledges.  Women's Energy Network has members only events; including our annual wine tasting event that hosts around 200 people and our chocolate tasting event that is a sell out every year hosting 50 members.

A Message from our President

Now that February is here, we are well into 2012, and the year is starting off great for WEN. With all your help, we made great progress in 2011, with the addition of the Executive membership tier, the Appalachian Chapter, the first issue of the WEN Quarterly newsletter and many other achievements. We finished the year with over 1100 members and 50 Executive members! I’d like to thank Jeannie Gardner, 2011 President and the 2011 WEN Board and Committee Chairs for all their hard work. What a wonderful organization and I am so proud to be a part of it. more
